HOW TO MEASURE FOR CURTAIN WIDTH

After choosing your hardware, the next step is to decide the number of panels you need based on the width of your window. Our curtains come in single and double-width panels. The double width panels in 110 inches, which when drawn closed with full pleats they cover 60 inches or 71 inches of wall or window space depending on your hardware.

To decide on the number of panels needed, consider the following recommendations for double width panels:

Standard Window: If your window is up to 119 inches wide, use two panels (one on each side).

Wide Window: If your window is wider than 119 inches, use three or four panels (two on each side or spaced evenly across).

Narrow Window: If your window is less than 39 inches wide, it's possible to use one panel that can be pulled to one side if you have limited space.

Amplify your space. The track or rod should be longer than the width of your window. This is to maximize the light from the window, and make your window appear bigger. Sumptuous pleats. Our panels are made from double width fabric and are pleated with a four- finger hook to create a pinch pleat, giving the curtains a rich and wonderfully flowing look. So that even when closed, there is fullness to them.

To create a two layer curtain look for ceiling mounting, install the tracks with the brackets that are included in the track kit. For wall mounting we recommend our double wall brackets designed to create a two layer curtain look.

We recommend installing the track at least 2-4 inches from the wall. To create a two layer curtain look, you should have at least 4 inches between the tracks. This way the curtains will have enough space for the pleats when open.

When deciding the installment distance from the wall, please consider the placement of your radiators and/or windowsill. The curtains should stick out farther than the radiator and/or windowsill.
