FAQ
FAQ
HOW MANY PANELS PER WINDOW?
We suggest minimum 2 panels per window depending on the width of the window.
HOW DO I MEASURE LENGTH FOR THE CURTAINS?
Measuring the length for your curtains is easily done. To get your curtain’s unique drop dimensions, the ceiling is the reference point – not the window. Hang your curtains as close to the ceiling as possible to give the room a grand feeling, and let them fall all the way down to the floor.
To choose the right length of the curtains measure like this:
Rail attached in the ceiling:
From floor to ceiling = Length of your panel + 0.5 inches
Rail attached to wall:
From floor to upper edge of rail = Length of your panel + 0.5 inches
Rod attached to wall:
From upper edge of rod = Length of your panel + 0.5 inches
Rod attached to wall with rings:
From underside of the rings = Length of your panel + 0.5 inches
HOW DO I MEASURE WIDTH FOR THE CURTAINS?
Each curtain panel is 102 inches without any hooks in.
A panel with the hooks in, covers up to 55 inches of the window when opened and approximately 21 inches when pushed back. We recommend a minimum two panels per window; one on each side.
Amplify your space. Make sure that your mounting rail or rod is wider than the window, so when your curtains are pulled to the side, they just cover the window frame but not the glass. This lends the appearance of a larger, brighter space. The rod itself should be 8 to 12 inches longer than the window's width, which allows for 4 to 6 inches on either side.
Sumptuous pleats. Our panels are made from double width fabric and are pleated with a four- finger hook to create a pinch pleat, giving the curtains a rich and wonderfully flowing look. So that even when closed, there is fullness to them.
PREFERRED LENGTH OF THE PANELS?
Measuring the length of your curtains is easily done. To get your curtain’s unique drop dimensions, the ceiling is the reference point – not the window. Hang your curtains as close to the ceiling as possible to give the room a grand feeling, and let them fall all the way down to the floor. When in doubt, err on the side of longer rather than shorter. We think a generous amount of fabric adds a luxurious touch to any room.
HOW MUCH DOES A PANEL COVER?
Each curtain panel is 102 inches without the hooks in. A panel with the hooks in, covers up to 55 inches of the window when open and approximately 21 inches when pushed back.
HOW DO I INSTALL THE HOOKS?
Please see the images on our curtain guide
CAN I USE MY OWN HOOKS?
We recommend using the hooks we supply and come with the panels.
WILL THE FABRIC STRETCH?
Wool is a natural material and in this case woven to achieve a soft and flowy fabric. The fabric might stretch and change over time which is perfectly normal. In natural materials all curtains can differ 0-1% from the ordered length, which is completely normal. Over time, when the fabric is exposed to gravity, temperature and handling, the length will also be affected more or less.
HOW DO I WASH THE CURTAINS?
Please see the wash instructions that are written on the label attached to the curtains. The curtains are dry clean only.
WILL THE CURTAINS SHRINK WHEN I WASH THEM?
If they are dry-cleaned correctly they should not shrink.
SHOULD I USE A RAIL OR ROD?
The curtains works well with both rail or rod. Please see our curtain guide page to see images showing both rail and rod in use.
WHAT SIZE SHOULD THE CURTAIN ROD BE IN DIAMETER?
Our curtains works great with any diameter between 0.4 - 1.18 inches.
