Mohair – RustMohair – Slate BlueMohair – Taupe

A collection that brings refined craftsmanship into the home. Handmade from a luxurious mohair wool blend, each piece is loom-knotted into a plush cut pile adding depth and character. The color palette — Rust, Slate Blue, and Taupe — draws from mineral-rich landscapes, shifting between earthy warmth, cool skies, and grounded neutrals to enrich both modern and timeless interiors.

Finished with a short cotton fringe, every rug carries a subtle artisanal detail that speaks to its craftsmanship. A high knot count ensures both lasting softness and durability, making the Mohair collection an elevated centerpiece for any home.

The Mohair collection is handmade in small batches. Only a few in each size are available.

Galerie Chenel — The Parisian home of art collectors Gladys and Ollivier Chenel, captured through the timeless lens of François Halard. The film moves through softly lit rooms inside their 18th-century apartment in the heart of Paris, where history and modernity meet. Antique sculptures, carved stone details, and layered textures sit alongside contemporary furniture and the Mohair rugs in Taupe, Slate Blue, and Rust by Nordic Knots. Gladys narrates: “Our home is like a reflection of ourselves, ever-changing, sensitive, and filled with objects that carry stories. We are in the very heart of Paris, in an 18th-century building. It’s a place steeped in history, yet still full of life. Our collection has taken shape over the course of our travels, our encounters, and our perspective as collectors – guided by our love for antiques. These pieces deeply influence the atmosphere of the house. The oldest ones, with their histories, are almost mesmerizing — reminders of the many lives that have surrounded them. And then there are the more contemporary pieces, which stir a different, more immediate emotion. Together, they create a unique balance — a kind of quiet magic that accompanies our everyday life.” The film is an intimate portrait of art, time, and texture — where light, tone, and craftsmanship exist in quiet conversation.
