Part-Time Sales & Store Operations Associate
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Part-Time Showroom & Store Operations Associate to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the impeccable appearance of our store, ensuring efficient inventory flow, and providing excellent service to our clients. This position offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied and engaging environment. We are also open to discussing a Full-Time role with category specific experience in rugs, curtains and textiles. Key responsibilities of the role entails:
Sales & Client Engagement
- Sales: Face to face sales in our store as well as via virtual consultation, offering clients knowledgeable guidance on our collection, and converting orders through pleasant engagement with the customer and excellent service
- Trade & Consumer Client Interaction: Greet and engage with consumers and professional clients, answering questions and providing information reliably and efficiently
- Product Learning: Actively learn and retain product knowledge to effectively assist clients.
- Sales Support: Manage consistent follow-up and quote creation with meticulous attention to detail and strong administrational efficiency
- Budget Contribution: Eager and comfortable working to store sales targets
Sample & Inventory Management (Store & Storage Unit)
- Inventory Support: Assist with accurate inventory counts and record-keeping for all product samples in the showroom and storage unit
- Logistics Assistance: Support the ordering and tracking of new samples, and help coordinate and receive deliveries
- Organization & Merchandising: Organize and arrange samples on the showroom floor and in storage, ensuring neatness and accessibility. Help replenish showroom racks to maintain optimal display
Master Sample Care
- Maintenance: Assist with managing master sample inventory, ensuring they are properly hung and kept clean
- Replenishment Support: Identify and report master samples needing replacement, assisting with the ordering process
Price Tag Production
- Creation & Updates: Create new price tags and replace existing ones that are worn or damaged
- Accuracy: Ensure price changes are accurately reflected on tags and assist with ordering replacements as needed
Supply Management
- Stock Monitoring: Help monitor stock levels for brand-specific and general store supplies
- Ordering Assistance: Assist with ordering necessary supplies to maintain adequate stock
Technology Upkeep
- Basic Maintenance: Support with keeping assigned technological devices (e.g., tablets, computers) updated and clean
- Charging: Ensure all technological devices are charged and ready for use
- Sales: on sales floor as well as via virtual consultation
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred
- Category specific experience in rugs, curtains and textiles preferred
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to learn product knowledge quickly
- Comfortable with basic computer tasks
- Proactive and willing to take initiative
- Ability to lift and move light to moderately heavy merchandise (as needed)
- Flexible availability to work part-time hours, which may include weekends.
