STUDIO MELLONE FOR NORDIC KNOTS
A new chapter in warm modernism unveils with a four-piece rug collection by Studio Mellone, the namesake practice of Brazilian-born, New York-based designer Andre Mellone.
FROM SÃO PAULO
The project began with a single idea: a rug should define a room as profoundly as its architecture. Mellone envisioned pieces with dual capacity; that could blend into their surroundings or transform the entire space, depending on how they were used.
Each design carries his architectural sensibility: the rhythmic elegance of Art Deco, the disciplined clarity of Bauhaus geometry, and the grounded warmth of South American modernism.

The collection features four designs: Dots, Indore, Normandie and Pond. Normandie evokes the grandeur of early transatlantic Art Deco ships. Dots brings rhythmic softness through a circular motif. Indore reflects the interplay of nature and structure in Brazilian architecture. Pond embodies the shimmer and stillness of water through meditative abstraction.
