VP Product

We are looking for a VP Product to join our Nordic Knots team in Stockholm. We are searching for someone with deep product development expertise across home, textiles, furniture and adjacent premium categories, sharp commercial instincts, and the leadership capability to build a world-class product organisation as we expand from rugs into a home brand.

The Role

As VP Product, you will own product development end-to-end and lead the product organisation that turns brand vision into category reality. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, new product development, sourcing and category leadership, with a clear centre of gravity in how we develop and bring products to market across rugs, textiles, furniture and adjacent categories.

You will set the 3–5 year product direction, lead the team covering the the NPD process from concept through industrialisation, and be the voice for all product decisions and considerations end-to-end. You will partner closely with the Creative Director on brand-consistent product decisions, and with the C-level team on the strategic calls.

You will build and lead the Product team and the partnerships with supply chain that make the whole system work. This is a leadership role for someone who has been in the trenches of product development and is ready to build the function that lets Nordic Knots scale credibly into new categories.

This role reports to the CEO.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define the 3–5 year product direction: Set the high-level vision for the brand's physical identity - focusing on the technical benchmarks that ensure every product launched represents the brand’s ambition and is pinned up for commercial success.
  • Lead the category creation: Act as the hands-on driver for our expansion into new categories, owning the "step 0 to final product" process to ensure technical integrity and credible market entry.
  • Obsess over the "last 5%" of execution: Ensure every physical detail, from structural integrity and material composition to final packaging and the unboxing experience, is thought through and flawless
  • Establish the "Nordic Knots Quality Standard": Define the technical requirements and aesthetic literacy required for a design-led premium brand; you are the final check on the "last 5%" of detail, from structural frame joints to the unboxing experience.
  • Partner with the Executive Team: Represent the product function at the executive table alongside the CEO, CCO, and COO to ensure the product roadmap is strategically aligned and correctly resourced.
  • Empower category specialists: Provide strategic mentorship and technical guardrails to the product and sourcing leads as they lead their respective category strategies.

About You

  • You are a senior product leader who has built and scaled product organisations in home, textiles, interior or adjacent premium consumer goods with a focus on furniture
  • You combine commercial judgement with deep product development craft - you can debate fibre composition, supplier capacity and roadmap prioritisation in the same afternoon
  • You have a track record of successful category expansion, scaling an organisation from one anchor category into a broader portfolio
  • You are hands-on and operationally strong with an excellent entrepreneurial mindset, focusing on solutions over problems always
  • You partner well with creative, design-led leadership while holding your own clear commercial point of view
  • You are energised by building. This is a new function in a fast-growing company, not a mature org to administer

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive product leadership experience within home, interior, fashion, furniture or premium consumer goods
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end new product development - concept through launch - in a craft-based or material-driven product category
  • Experience building, leading and developing multi-category product organisations
  • Experience launching new categories or significantly expanding category scope within an existing brand
  • Deep experience with sourcing strategy and supplier development, ideally across multiple regions and craft-based supply chains
  • Deep experience from a direct-to-consumer, omnichannel or premium retail environment and/or a design-led premium brand context
