HOW TO MEASURE FOR CURTAIN WIDTH

After choosing your hardware, the next step is to decide the number of panels you need based on the width of your window. Our curtains come in panels with a width of 280 cm, which when drawn closed with full pleats they cover 152 cm or 180 cm of wall or window space depending on your hardware.

To decide on the number of panels needed, consider the following recommendations:

Standard Window: If your window is up to 300 cm wide, use two panels (one on each side).

Wide Window: If your window is wider than 300 cm, use three or four panels (two on each side or spaced evenly across).

Narrow Window: If your window is less than 100 cm wide, it's possible to use one panel that can be pulled to one side if you have limited space.

We suggest minimum 2 panels per window depending on the width of the window.

Each curtain panel is 280 cm without any hooks in.

A panel with the hooks in, covers up to 152 cm of the window when opened and approximately 65 cm when pushed back. We recommend a minimum two panels per window; one on each side.

Amplify your space. Make sure that your mounting track or rod is wider than the window, so when your curtains are pulled to the side, they just cover the window frame but not the glass. This lends the appearance of a larger, brighter space. The rod itself should be 20 to 30 cm longer than the window’s width, which allows for 10 to 15 cm on either side.

Sumptuous pleats. Our panels are made from double width fabric and are pleated with a four- finger hook to create a pinch pleat, giving the curtains a rich and wonderfully flowing look. So that even when closed, there is fullness to them.

Each curtain panel is 280 cm without the hooks in. A panel with the hooks in, covers up to 152 cm of the window when open and approximately 65 cm when pushed back.

We recommend using the hooks we supply and come with the panels. Choose low hooks for curtains on track and high hooks for curtains on rod.

The curtains works well with both track or rod. Please see our curtain guide to see images showing both rail and rod in use.

Our curtains works great with a rod of any diameter between 1–3 cm, when using the curtain pockets for the rod.
