PEOPLE
Collaboration is one of the cornerstones of our business. From the artisans we have partnered with in India for over a decade – who we visit every year – to our core team in Stockholm, our supply chain reaches from South Asia, to the United States and all the way to Europe. We pride ourselves on the strength of our relationships and ensuring our employees enjoy safe, fair and respectful working environments.
IN OUR COMMUNITY
We partner with select organizations to give back to and support the communities in the regions where we operate.
To give our products a second life and prevent waste, we donate rugs that cannot be sold, such as returns or damaged items, to regional charity partners. In Sweden, we donate these pieces to Erikshjälpen, a child rights organization that funds social welfare projects through its retail locations. In the US, we partner with Habitat for Humanity, donating rugs to their ReStores to help fund affordable housing initiatives.
Our supply chain is monitored by independent assessments. An annual SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) 4-pillar audit is a non-negotiable requirement for all our suppliers in India to assess labor standards, health and safety, environmental management, and business ethics.

GOODWEAVE™ CERTIFIED
GoodWeave™ is our largest NGO partner and an important part of how we ensure our rugs are made by adult artisans under fair working conditions, free from child, forced, or bonded labor.
Our investment in GoodWeave™ funds on-the-ground inspection, education and rehabilitation programs in carpet-weaving communities in India. This certification applies exclusively to Nordic Knots rugs.
