Cassi Namoda is a contemporary Mozambican artist based in Massachusetts, US. She is known for her work that transfigures cultural and historical narratives of life in post-colonial Africa.

Her home and studio is located close to an old shaker community recognised for its unadorned design style and history of exquisite craftsmanship.

We visited her on a snow clad December day and asked her a few questions about her home and relationship to interior.
