Nordic Knots was founded in New York in 2016 on the Scandinavian tradition of functional design with a minimalist aesthetic. We use only high-quality materials and ethical production practices to create great rugs that last. We know it sounds simple, but we know it’s not easy to find rugs that look right, feel right, and are made right. Today the head office is located at Tegnergatan in central Stockholm. We have a constantly growing team in both Stockholm and New York.

Nordic Knots is looking for a Buyer & Planner to join our team in Stockholm. We are looking for someone with excellent analytical skills and a strong interest in interior design and the textile industry. We highly value a genuine passion for growing businesses and creating results.

The Role

As a Buyer & Planner at Nordic Knots you will be responsible for securing that we buy just the right amount of products to continue meeting a growing demand, in addition to working actively in planning and developing our assortment and products. The role reports to the COO.

Your main responsibilities will be to

  • Analyze and set optimal purchasing quantities based on performance, estimations, stock levels, and lead time
  • Place Purchase Orders and continuously track and evaluate the need for adjustments
  • Proactively spot sales and market trends to ensure that we capture business opportunities
  • Generate assortment insights to the design team based on sales data and market trend insights
  • Work closely with our production team to continuously plan, adapt, and secure capacity to meet required timelines

Your profile

  • Relevant degree in business administration, buying, or similar
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in similar roles in adjacent industries such as fashion
  • Highly experienced in excel
  • Experience in Business Central ERP system is a plus
  • Experience with online retail businesses or working in a start-up environment is a big plus
